What the program publishes

Utility customer
Marblehead Municipal Light Department residential metered customer; one charger or charger incentive per household under the agreement.
Named charger brands
ChargePoint only Smart Level 2 chargers. Brand alone does not establish exact-model approval.
Fully electric vehicle
Up to $700 for the charger, as published by the program manager. Not an installation allowance or guaranteed payment.
Plug-in hybrid
The April 2026 agreement specifies $200 for a PHEV battery below 15 kWh and $300 at 15 kWh or above. The program web table uses >15 and <15; the agreement explicitly covers equality.
Installation
Installation is at the customer's expense. The utility does not provide an electrical-service assessment through this guide.
Participation term
At least 3 years under the linked agreement.
Routine charging restriction
No charging from 5pm to 9pm on non-holiday weekdays under the scheduled charging agreement.
Other obligations
Maintain Wi-Fi connectivity and allow emergency curtailment. Read the full agreement for all duties and liability terms.
Leaving or losing eligibility
The utility reserves the right to remove a customer and recover the pro-rated charger cost on later electric bills if participation conditions are not met. Moving outside the service area, giving up the EV or losing Wi-Fi are examples listed in the agreement.
